No, l, the reason you haven't seen anything in the press about it is
the same reason you haven't seen anything about the British skeletons
at the Kanchanaburi museum in real (i.e. non-British) newspapers.

IF the Burma magazine story is confirmed, you'll see it if you have a
mind to. You are correct that the EXACT quote won't appear in the
Thai press. But it'll appear if it's true.

This Burmese magazine doesn't exactly have the circulation of Time.
Also, getting back issues is no easy task.
