Burmese translation received by BRC-J, Feb. 13, 1995

Propaganda leaflet distributed in Slo Klo refugee
camp, originally in Karen language.  (N.B. This has
been twice translated).  With a crude cartoon of Bo
Mya trampling on the people.
In caption, "Do you believe? I am working for the
Karen State.  If you don't believe, come here and see."

Text:  WHO IS THE ENEMY OF THE KAREN?
Look!  What is Bo Mya doing?
-He is seeking the opportunities for himself.
-He gained the power by killing his colleagues,
revolutionists.
--So many Karen have been killed.
-Fields and paddies are destroyed.
-Although he said the religion is free, the monasteries
are destroyed, the Buddhists are oppressed.
HOW IS BO MYA?
-He made the rumors to fight between the Karen to
gain power.
-He killed his followers to expand his power.
-He built his property with the sweat and blood of the
Karen people.
-He is the devil with the prince's face.
-So, Attack! Bo Mya to settle peace and tranquility for
the Karen.
-Kill! Bo Mya to benefit the race and religion.
THE PEOPLE
-They pay the tax to Bo Mya for his living.
-And also men.
-He expend the money, materials owned by the people
as he wish.
What is Happening?
-It is not his concern the death of the people and his
comrades.
-All the leaders of the relatives took the top post of the
KNU.
-He established the company in Thailand by the tax.
-He let his son to carry out in the Thai army.
-Thailand is a good place for them.
-He doesn't worry whatever may happen in Karen
State.
-As this results, there is a split within the Buddhist
Karen and the Christian Karen.
-Now, the hopes of the Karen have lost.
-By his rude efforts, the Karen people are in trouble.
What is the life of the followers?
-There is no food, clothes, and shelter for the followers.
-They collected the tax and sent it to HQ,
-Nothing was given by HQ.
-The KNU HQ are not concerned with the needs of
followers.
-The followers live in poverty.
-Bo Mya never hesitate to kill his followers for himself
and power.
