SUBJ:The Statement by Monks of the
Boarder Area about DKBO

Dear Friends,

Many thanks for posting the Monk's
statement in translation. It is so important to
counter the SLORC propaganda about
DKBO and this statement is a useful
contribution.

We would very much like to receive the
original Burmese plus any additional
information you might be able to provide
about the situation of pro-democracy
Burmese Sangha. We are deeply concerned
about the destructive effects of SLORC's
rule on the Buddha Sasana and are always
anxious for news of monks imprisoned in
Burma, in need on the border, or currently in
exile.

Incidently, we have lost contact with a
Burmese Sayadaw who went to Sydney
Australia in June of last year. We would
appreciate your help in locating Ven.
Buddanta Sundar Thuriya.

Please contact us either by snail mail or fax.
