To All Interested in Burma, 

The Burmese American Cultural Society is putting on a "Burma Night" festival 
which will bring all the cultural delights of Burma to the Washington, D.C. 
area.  Events include: 

        A food bazaar, featuring all sorts of scrumptious Burmese noodle 
dishes, special rice, curries, etc. 

        An arts and crafts show where painting, photographs and other 
authentic crafts from Burma will be available,

        A cultural concert featuring the candle light dance, U Shwe Yo & Daw 
Moe country dance, other ethnic dances, Thingyan water festival dance and 
many others.  A special performances by classical dancer Shwemun Win Maung 
and pianist Aung Win will also be featured.  There is a $10 ticket charge 
for the concert. 

Date:  Sunday, April 9, 1995
Time:  4:30 p.m.  Food bazaar and arts & craft show
       6:00 p.m.  Cultural concert

Place: Calvary Baptist Church, Woodward Hall
       755, corner of H & 8th Street, NW in Washington, D.C.
       (Next to China Town)

Direction by public transportation:  Metro Red Line to Gallery Place/China 
Town metro stop;  parking is also available in the area.
