Typing of the news

Dear Ken and Visakha,

The misattribution of typing you noted is not the fault of ABSDF-MTZ, but
rather is an editorial slip that BurmaNet is responsible for. Members
of the section of the All-Burma Students Democratic Front led by Moe
Thee Zun voluntarily type some of the articles from the Bangkok Post
and the Nation. Whatever disagreements of policy or politics anyone
might have with ABSDF-MTZ, what they are doing is a service to all
Burma watchers on the net, especially at times when technical problems
by the primary typists make it difficult for them to get on the net--as
you have noticed is happening at the moment. The contributions emailed
to the net by ABSDF-MTZ have a notation about who did the typing, which
is included in issues of the BurmaNet News as a matter of course. The
error in this case is not in acknowledging that ABSDF-MTZ made a
contribution to the net, which they did. But in not also acknowledging
the work done by BRC-Japan. I'm sorry for that oversight and I'll try
to make sure that all contributions to the net are properly acknowledged.

 Regards,

     Strider
