Amendment to UA 232/95 (ASA 16/27/95, 5 October 1995) - Fear of ill-
treatment or torture
 
MYANMAR          Ye Htut
 
It has come to Amnesty International's attention that Ye Htut, the
man arrested on 27 September 1995, is not the same individual as the
NLD member who was elected to parliament in 1990 and detained from
1991 to 1993.  The man arrested on 27 September has no official
affiliation to a political party.  All other information contained
in the Urgent Action, including the recommended actions, remains
valid and action as specified may continue.
 
Amnesty International apologizes for this misunderstanding.
