Dirty Business with SLORC in Rotter
Subject: Dirty Business with SLORC in Rotterdam
Emphasizing the heading " Doing Business with Myanmar " on the invitation, an
Info-meeting has been sponsored and held by a so-called ' Myanmar Consul ' in
the Netherlands, whose name is ' U Stevens ', a Dutch vulture selected by SLORC.
The meeting took place on March 13 in the Chamber of Commerce in Rotterdam,
and one of the speakers invited was ' Pyon Wai Win ', son -of-a-gun ( again one
of the dictator Ne Win's sons ). As a son-of-a-gun he said obviously that in
doing
business with Myanmar, individual human rights of the persons need not be taken
care. Like father, like son, the aging dictator Ne Win never understand in his
life
the meaning of the word ' human rights '. And he would not be able to understand
it up to his day of judgement, which will come very soon. The way these Myanmar
militants think is such that ' how could there be human rights violations in
Myanmar
when there are no human rights at all'.
Pyon Way Win even invited the businessmen of the Netherlands and other countries
in Europe ( there were just a very few present at the meeting) to do
business with Myanmar, since the present military junta Slorc is a stable one.
The Slorc's lackey forgot or pretended to forget that the Slorc is tottering on
the
brink due to military-intern fracture, alarming economic crisis countrywide and
lack of national as well as international support.
When the dictator's son tried to shake hands with a prominent Dutch
anaesthetist,
the Professor refused to shake with the blood-stained hands of the soldier's
son.
'I know who you are' was a meaningful remark of the Professor. One could clearly
imagine the color and contour of the Pyon 's face.
It is also to be documented that some of the participants of the meeting are
well
informed about the true situation in Burma. For instance, the first guest
speaker
at the meeting, who is a Dutch intellectual, gave an outstanding account on the
updated political and economical situations in Burma, including historical
struggle
for independence of the national hero U Aung San, the 8888 national upheaval led
by the University students, the democratic movement led by Aung San Suu Kyi and
NLD and the shaky economic situation under the Slorc regime. She was originally
supposed to talk only on the cultural aspects of Myanmar according to the
invitation.
We, the democratic society, have the honour to express our heartfelt
appreciations to such prominent personalities who believe in intellectual
freedom and justices.
