Please note that the FEER article referred to here talks about a policy
announcement from the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand.  This is a
business group, with no official affiliation.  While their position is
lamentable, it should not be too surprising.  UNOCAL is a major player in
Thailand, and probably pushed this group to make its statement.
