The Investor Responsibility Research Center in Washington, D.C. is seeking an
intern to help do research on companies active in Burma. IRRC, an impartial
organization that takes no positions on the issues it covers, provides
research for institutional investors and for governments implementing
selective contracting policies. The work requires someone who is a stickler
for accuracy, and is patient in carefully documenting activity in Burma and
corporate ownership. IRRC is interested in hiring an intern full-time for
three months, beginning in June, with compensation of $300 per week.
 Alternately, IRRC seeks an intern for 20 hours a week for five months, with
compensation of $150 per week. IRRC is an equal opportunity employer, and
particularly welcomes minority applicants. Please contact Ken Bertsch or
Brenda Bateman at IRRC, 1350 Connecticut Ave. N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036;
telephone (202) 833-0700; fax (202) 833-3555.
