Addendum #1 -- the fourth in a series of the DEMOGRAPHIC, 
ENVIRONMENTAL AND SECURITY ISSUES PROJECT (DESIP) will appear in June 1996. 

The purpose of DESIP is to present information on a host
of issues which impact life on our planet. Each part runs
about 3,500 words.
