  Passenger Plane Crashed in Burma

RANGOON, Burma (AP) -- A Myanmar Airways domestic flight crashed during
a landing in bad weather today, killing at least eight people and injuring
14, a Transport Ministry official said.
The Fokker Friendship F-27, carrying 44 passengers and five crew
members, crashed as it tried to land on a flight from Rangoon to Mergui,
350 miles to the southeast.
No foreigners were among the casualties, the official said on condition
of anonymity.
Few details were available because of poor communications with the
remote part of Burma, also known as Myanmar.
