According to the Emergency Act of 1950 under Section 5/E, (6)
members of the National League for Democracy and (14) others were
found guilty and given (7) years jail sentences by the relevant
court. These (20) persons were inciting and agitating students
and non-students during December 1996 student demonstrations and
it is learnt that none of them are students.
