Myanmar (No Burma) is already in AS

Subject: Myanmar (No Burma) is already in ASEAN

Of obsessing with mounting reasons, opinions, and facts for eight years,
whether Burma will be accepted as a full member in ASEAN. THE CONCLUSION IS
VERY SAMPLE THAT BURMA WILL BE ADMITTED AS AN ASEAN MEMBER IN JULY 1997.

First, Malaysia and Indonesia are very willing to accept Burma in ASEAN
because these two dictatorial countries enjoy getting profits from Burma
doing businesses with the existing regime known as SLORC. Second, Thailand
and Singapore have been investing billions dollars in Burma sine the regime
came to power in 1988. Of course, the Thai and Sigporean dictatorial
governments are defending the SLORC to remain in power in order to protect
their business; other words, Thailand and Singapore support dictatorial
regime and put aside elected party, NLD. Third, Philippine, Brunei, and
Vietnam are quietly supporting the SLORC. They ignore international and
Burmese concern of the SLORC's human rights abuses. When ASEAN ministerial
meeting will be held in Malaysia, five ASEAN's members out of seven will
vote for Burma in favor. If the SLORC gains 4 votes in favor, the SLORC will
be in ASEAN. It's that sample.

Although EU and U.S. have beening expressing concern of the Burmese regime
repression and refusal to reforming democratic system itself, ASEAN will
head its direction into the black hole with their own logics. ASEAN the fact
that realizes EU and U.S eyeing on making more money in Asia, leaving human
rights and democracy at home as they did in China.

However, according to my experiences in Thailand, ASEAN cannot or will not
make any change or protect democracy, human rights, economy, social, and
culture in its territory but only it can conduct to insult West and Europe,
led by Malaysia, Singapore, and Burma's regime. Without ASEAN effort,
Filipinos as a matter of fact threw away Macros 's regime. Thai could also
bring down Sushanda's regime in 1992 even thought Thailand is one of the
preeminent members of AEASN. Burma will someday, even if it is in ASEAN
group, oust the SLORC regime by people without ASEAN supporting. People power
that I ever believe will change Burma.

When students are united, they can bring down the SLORC!!
When people are united, they can bring down the SLORC!!
