Texaco Inc might sell natgas field off Burma

RYE BROOK, NY, May 13 (Reuter)- Texaco chief executive Peter Bijur said 
at the company's annual shareholders meeting that the company would 
consider selling its Andaman Sea natural gas stake offshore Burma.

"We have prepared financial data...including the possibility of a sale to 
a third party," Bijur said.

Protestors have called for Texaco to exit Burma because of the country's 
military dictatorship.
