Subject: New York City passed a Bill against Burma 

Mr. Gbubemi Okotieuro, Legislative Assistant for city's council member
Mrs.Mary Pinkett, told The Rangoon Post at 5:15 P.M. on Wednesday May 14
that the bill in New York was passed today.

Gbubemi said the bill that imposes sanctions on Burma was voted by council
members overwhelmingly today. He said  wanted to pass this massage to Prime
Minister Dr. Sein Win.
