A question about the kyat

Dear Miss Elkin,
          My analysis :SLORC - ruled- Burma is 80 % sure to become a member
of ASEAN.If that is the case ,the West and the Burmese opposition will
become on a less influential scale in preesuring the SLORC and the
governments concerned.But ASEAN could still drop Burma as its member due to
insurmountable international pressure.

The value of Kyat largely depends on the political scene in Burma ,not
abroad.Of course the international community can influence the situation in
Burma.ASEAN is surely afraid Burma will fall into the sway of China.
That's also the concrete reason why ASEAN is willing to accept Burma as its
member despite tremendously 
outrageous human rights violations and international pressure.
