Princess and relatives leave

At least 10 members of the royal family, including Prince Norodom
Ranariddh's elder sister, flew out of Phnom Penh yesterday.
Princess Bopha Devi flew to Bangkok, while Prince Ranariddh's son,
Norodom Chakravuth, and nine other members of the family left Pochentong
International Airport aboard a C-130 military transport plane for
Singapore. They were accompanied by some of his father's top civilian
aides.
The ransacked airport reopened to limited commercial traffic yesterday.
It was heavily guarded by forces loyal to Hun Sen, but no attempts were
made to stop the family members or the party officials leaving.
The princess declined to comment on arrival in Bangkok. She was
accompanied by her husband, two children and daughter-in-law.
The flight also carried foreign tourists trapped when the airport was
closed by heavy fighting on Saturday, as well as staff from the World
Bank and Australian and Japanese embassies.
The United States said it was pulling two-thirds of its 61 diplomats,
and their dependents, out of Phnom Penh because of the "uncertain
security situation" but would keep its embassy open.
