OCAW takes another swipe at Unocal

Subject: OCAW takes another swipe at Unocal on Burma

Lakewood, Colo, July 10 (Reuter) - The Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers
International Union (OCAW) on Thursday stepped up its campaign to get Unocal
Corp to exit Burma with a letter to four non-executive board members.

OCAW president Robert Wages told the four that "anything short of Unocal
pulling out of Burma should prompt you to resign from Unocal's board."

The union alleges that Unocal's involvement in Burma gives that country's
military regime succor and financial support.

Unocal says that its role in Burma's economy is positive, that it provides
employment at above-average wages, education and training and health
programmes.
