(1) Diploma in Hotel Management Communication Module opens in Yangon
Diploma in Hotel Management Communication Skills Module, organized by the
Ministry of Hotels and Tourism in collaboration with Singapore tourist
Promotion
Board and Singapore Hotel Association Training Education Centre, was opened
at Kandawgyi Palace Hotel 01125 August. Speaking on the Occasion, Minister
for Hotels and Tourism said: " The workbook provides the lesson schedule in
which includes, the Communication Progress, Barriers to Communication,
Writing Effective Business Letters and Memorandums, Non-Verbal Communication
and Making Business Presentation. The highlights on the Differing Field of
Experience that influence communication also give me a lot of thinking as it
discusses the three sources of Experience Belief, Attitude and Values. Since
this part deals so much about human nature, emotion, perception, attitude,
values etc., once the course is over. I strongly believe that the trainees
will become wellversed in social dealing and hence will be able to cope with
any type of person at any situation. I think, everyone will agree that they
are really, important to all who work in private companies or governmental
departments. Obviously, this course is not limited to only those who are in
hotel and tourism industry. It will be extremely viable to all those who look
forward to a promising future career at the international level since the
course provides skills to reading body language, writing effective business
letters and memorandums, controlling nervousness in making presentations,
handling the questions raised by the audience etc."

Some changes are good, some are bad and some are ugly. While watching global
