Mon Karen Tension

Dear Ko Nai Pon Nya,
I got this information from one of my friends who has been
working in that area. However, I am sorry that I should have wrote
"TENSION" rather than "CONFLICT". That tension didn't appear just now
but it had been unsolved for long. Now the tension become more critical
and that is why I posted it on the net.
Moreover, in early this month, SLORC troops came to Payaw
and looked the territory. According to the information I got, SLORC was
supposed to deploy its forces in Payaw, former Mon refugee camp right on
the Thai Burma border. It was supposed to come there on September 6th
but it didn't. However, the source said it will certainly deploy forces
in Payaw. I don't know how NMSP will decide about the refugees in that
region (though the refugees are not there but there are many refugees
along the way from Tavoy District HQ to Payaw.
You may have contact with NMSP or MRC but please check it
from several sources. There are so many issues the organizations on
the border never want to appear. Hopefully, you can find out more .
Thank
Nyein Chan
