YANGON (Nov. 20) XINHUA - Four more bridges
are being built to link the Myanmar capital of
Yangon with surrounding areas as well as states
and divisions to speed up the flow of commodities.

Official newspaper The New Light of Myanmar said
today the four bridges of Maha Bandoola,
               Ngamoeyeik, Shwepyitha and Aungzeya, whose
lengths range from 236 meters to 570 meters, are
to connect Yangon with Dawbon, Shwepyitha and
Hlaingtharya as well as states and divisions.

Construction of the four bridges are expected to be
               completed in 1999.

Meanwhile, two major bridges across Myanmar's
Ayeyarwady River have also been under
construction to cut short the travel time between its
eastern and western banks. Another two bridges
over the river have been inaugurated.
