     Thank you for that clarification.  Nevertheless, I do need the 
     conversion from pyi to the corresponding volume unit -- in litres 
     fluid ounces, gallons or what have you.  Thank you.

As far as I know a "pyi"  is a volume measure and not a weight measure. A
"pai-tha" or viss is a weight measure and is approx. 3.6 lbs.
