Severino in Burma

Rangoon- Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations
Rodolfo Severino visited Burma over the weekend on a familiarisation trip
with the new member country, the News Light of Myanmar reported. The
Philippines foreign minister met Burma's chief economic planner, Davit
Able, and Finance Minister Khin Maung Thein to discus the financial crisis
in Asian, economic cooperation and development of the Greater Mekong Region.
