Two ex-brigadiers concocting for the Burmese  military to change
into a new face

Two odd militarists from Burma are  in Washington and New York now.
Former brigadier Maung Maung and Aung Gyi are here in America. Why are
they coming to America? What are they doing here? Are they sent by SPDC,
the present Burmese Military Government?  Aung  Gyi denied.  He claimed
he came by his own just to try to work for democracy in Burma.

It is obvious that they are coming to America to do something and
something or something..

U Maung Maung, who was kicked upstairs  to an ambassadorial post by Ne
Win in 1961 is a respected scholar in Burma now. He was removed  from the
army because   Ne Win thought, Brigadier Maung Maung was too  close to
American policy or American Embassy officials or CIA. Thus U  Maung Maung
might talk to the  his American friends, now in high positions in 
the U.S. Government.

U Aung Gyi said he cannot talk to the American press,  but he  wants to
talk to the Burmese public through the VOA and Radio Free Asia  about the
Burmese problems. He is coming to create a new theme of public opinion.

Accordingly, U Aung Gyi gave a lengthy interviews ( six hours long) to
the two radio stations, opening his heart  with restraint, frankly and
candidly Burmese peoples are starving now. No regular meals for the 
families are common all over Burma today. The result is that the  people
hate the  Burmese Army and the government even dare not open the
universities, expressed U Aung Gyi. He even said," This is time to
disband SPDC ", the Burmese Military Government.

 The only cure for Burma's illness is to turn the system into democratic
policy as soon as possible, he pledged.
 
"The opposition and the government are marching  in parallel, so there
is no way to meet together for the nation," he said and  concluded "the
only one who can  create democracy in Burma is the national leader U Ne
Win, who had retired."

 "If U Ne Win came back into the political field and order the military
officials who are in power to restore democracy in Burma, certainly the
young officers (generals) would listen to him," he said.

 Regarding  the opposition, the National League for Democracy leaders
had made mistakes., he alleged "The National Convention is most
meaningful process for building democracy in Burma. The walking 
out ofthe great seminar by the NLD leaders  is a big mistake.".

  These are the way out for the Burmese problems, formulated U 
Aung Gyi.

 Though he himself had contested in the 1990 election, U Aung  Gyi did
not talk for honoring the People's mandate of the 1990 election result.
 Listening to his preaching, my deduction is that, the Burmese military
Government could not run the nation in this form anymore. They earnestly
want to change into a different form, wearing a new mask.
 By virtue of  U Aung Gyi's pleading, the notorious Dracula, former
dictator Ne Win might come back and control his army officers and order
them to democratize the nation.. And the  military way of democratizing
a nation is by decree of orders.

They would activate the National Convention  for speedy  production of a
democratic constitution with a parliament controlled  by the army
and  a must head-of-state post to the military.

 For that purpose, an interim government will be needed to take 
care of preserving law and order for the citizens. Of course, U Maung 
Maung andU Aung Gyi are the most suitable persons to take the burdensome state.

 The Burmese army is trying their best to repeat their steps again and
again.. They started with establishing of the Revolutionary council in
1962 and when people start complaining, they transferred the political
power to the people, the parliament of Burmese  Socialist  Program Party.
When the people refused to support the BSPP Government, the power was
handed to the State Law  and Order Restoration Council  Government. Then
after jailing more than half of their own members for corruption, a new
government, State Peace and Development Council was established. Now
they are preparing for a new name.

 Because of long looting of the wealth of the nation by the military
leaders, people are suffering much more than U Aung Gyi confessed. They
cannot go on like this and the two ex-brigadiers journey is obviously
to change the face of the military rule in Burma. With this new
scenario, the army gots to keep the political power again. And if
another crisis comes up, they will  create another mask. They will do
anything, except to transfer the political power to the people.

 No way bogyokes, no. way. Burmese people could not tolerate 
anymore. We do not want Ne Win's command of a new democracy.

 We will built people's democracy by ourselves. We want the army 
to go back to the barrack at once. NOW.
