NLD resolutions revised



Dear readers

Those who posted NLD statements on the net are really appreciated. But I
have to add a few details. However this is also unofficial translation of
NLD resolutions.

1. The final date to convene the Parliament is to be defined and the
Congress gives the mandate to the CEC to inform to the authorities
shortly.
2. It is decided that NLD would not accept any constitution, which is
written and adopted without the will of the people and contrary to the
democratic principles.
3. NLD would not accept any new election by ignoring the results of 1990.
4. NLD constantly opens genuine dialogues to solve the problems of the
State.
5. It is decided that the mandate is extended to the Chairperson and the
General Secretary to discharge the duties of the League.
6. The authorities are responsible to grant all legitimate rights of
freedom of organization, freedom of publication, and freedom of assembly
to all legally registered political parties.
7. It is demanded to respect the resolutions adopted by UNGA and UNCHR by
the authorities.
8. The League strongly objects the acts of various authorities who
disallow the peasants who failed to sell prescribed quota and voluntary
quota of paddy and who failed to contribute labor.
9. It is decided that the authorities are totally responsible to the
consequences resulted by general discontentment and discomfort of the
peasants.
10. The authorities are urged to fulfill the security and welfare of all
workers and employees and to get rid of corruption and bribery.
11. It id demanded to reopen all Universities and colleagues and to assign
full academic session.
12. The League supports the resolute desire of the students who want to
form the Students' Union.
13. It is demanded to release all political prisoners who are under
punishment.
