Myanmar military offers conditional talks with NLD

YANGON, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Myanmar's opposition National League for
Democracy (NLD) said on Friday it had been offered a meeting with a senior
member of the military government but added it could not accept the
conditions attached to the talks. 

The NLD said the bearer of the invitation from the deputy Minister for Home
Affairs Myint Maung said three senior NLD members, including Nobel laureate
Aung San Suu Kyi, were to be excluded from the talks.
