I respect Ko Win Naing's rights to express his own idea and his out
look
eventhough I disagree with him. I am a former ABSDF member now
living in LA. I will refute point by point of his statement by
expressing
my own ideas and my out look. I will not accuse him as a betrayal of
our cause because he has his own way and I have mine too. but I will
highlight what is seem to me right for this moment.

Sincerely
Aung Baw

>I, Win Naing completed all procedures for relinquishing the refugee

>restored to me I returned to my mother land on 19 August for a brief

>Myanmar, (from 20 August to 19 September) I was given the opportunity
to
>travel to all parts of my country and met my countrymen from all strata

If Ko Win Naing did not collaborate with the military regime, they will
not
let him come. First he has to submit his corporation and promise not
to meet
with Aung San Suu Kyi. Even though, Ko Win Naing and Daw Mya Mya Win
touring around the country freely, MI were escorting them or watching
them
 definately.

>(1) The Myanmar Government in reviewing and assessing Myanmar's
affairs
>consistently takes into consideration the state of world affairs and
>indubitably makes a comparative study. (For example- the political
power
>struggle between the nations of the western bloc and the Republic of
>China. The desire of Asian nations to escape from western hegemony)

No. 1 point, you are repeating the words of SLORC/SPDC that
neocolonialist are trying to control Burma. Burma , China and Asean
countries
are victims of the western power. The word "hegemony" is first use in
the
political field by the Chinese gov. It seems you are sympathic to the
Red
Chinese communist rather than Western democracies. Why do you want to
blame to western countries? Do you want democracy or restore
dictatorship again.

>(2) If only the National League for Democracy (NLD) should relax it's
>present rigid stand and be more flexible, the present Myanmar
Government
>is fully ready and willing to work together with the NLD for the good
of
>the country. But Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's extreme predisposition to
depend
>on the western bloc and her unwarranted appeal to the west for
>unnecessary support is totally unacceptable to the Government. The
>Government's position is that the Myanmar people themselves should
solve
>their internal problems with mutual understanding, confidence and
>respect for one another. This is the basic position of the Myanmar
>Government.

I am not defending NLD, but NLD has been calling for dialogue since they
won
the 1990 election.
SLORC ignored their call and when they started they pickup who were
allowed to and others were not including ASSK. Do you forget the facts?

I have to go, our lad is closing. I do not have my own computer. I
will
continue this topic later.
