Surayud says public feedback is welcome

The army is taking complaints and suggestions from the public by mail,
e-mail and by phone.
Gen Surayud Chulanont, the army commander-in-chief, said yesterday he would
heed correspondence in the interests of improving the service.
Mail can be sent to PO Box 46, Suksathikarn post office 10304, e-mail to
OA911@xxxxxxxxxxxx, phone calls to 297-8221-2, and other suggestions can be
left at red boxes in front of and behind army's headquarters on Rajdamnern
Avenue.
The facility, headed by Maj-Gen Pathompong Kesornsuk, the army secretary,
would gather comments daily and report them to Gen Surayud.
The army has also conducted an opinion survey about its attempt to crack
down on soldiers who abuse their authority at entertainment places.
Revellers and proprietors were found to welcome the move but the operators
suggested the army contact them in advance to avoid scaring customers, Gen
Surayud added. Classifieds
