Burma arrests 363 in anti-drug sweep

Burmese authorities have seized more than 25 kg of heroin, 218,700
amphetamine tablets and arrested 363 people in a nationwide crackdown,
state-run media reported on Wednesday.
The seizures were made by police, soldiers and customs officials in
September, Television Burma said in a broadcast monitored in Bandkok.
Drug charges have been levelled against 363 people including 53 women in
151 drug offences, it said. AFP
