(1)		Prime Minister of Lao People's Democratic Republic to Visit Myanmar
		At the invitation of the Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council
and Prime Minister of the Union of Myanmar His Excellency Senior General Than
Shwe and Daw Kyaing Kyaing, His Excellency Mr Sisavath Keobounphanh, Prime
Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and Madame Khamla
Keobounphanh will pay an official visit to the Union of Myanmar in the near
future.

(2)		Secretary-1 Receives Member of the House of Representatives and Former
Minister for Foreign  Affairs of Japan and Japanese Delegation
		Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt
received Member of the House of Representatives and former Minister for
Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr Kabun Muto and party who called at Dagon Yeiktha
of the Ministry of Defence on 19 November.
		The Secretary-1 also received the Japan-Myanmar  Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (CCI) Business Cooperation Committee Chairman and Itochu Corporation
Adviser of Japan Mr Tomoo Takahara and party who called at Dagon Yeiktha of
the Ministry of Defence on the same day separately.

(3)		Japanese Business Delegation Arrives
		A 40 member Japanese business delegation led by Mr Tomoo Takahara, Chairman
of the Japan-Myanmar CCI Business Cooperation Committee (JMBCC) arrived by air
on 19 November.

(4)		Deputy Prime Minister Meets Business Group from Japan
		Chairman of Myanmar Investment Commission met Chairman of JMBCC  Mr Tomoo
Takahara and party, who called at his office on 19 November. They discussed
development of medium and small industries and investment opportunities in
Myanmar.

(5)		JIWA Presents Cash to SWD
		The Japan International Welfare Association (JIWA) presented cash to women
and children who are being looked after by Social Welfare Department. Chairman
of JIWA Professor Katsuhide Tani handed the cash to Director-General of SWD
Col. Sit Myaing at the department on 19 November.

(6)		Myanmar Sports Delegation Leaves for Spain
		Myanmar delegation led by Director of Medical Services  of Ministry of
Defence left Yangon for Spain by air on 18 November to attend the Seventh
International Sports Congress from 19 to 23 November.

(7)		Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) Programme Officer Call on Minister for
Information
		Programme officer Mr Yoshinobu Onishi of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF)
based in Tokyo, Japan, called on Minister for Information at his  office on 19
November.
