Stop destruction of villages and fo

Subject: Stop destruction of villages and food crops by Burma Military Regime.

Mr. Kofi Annan
Secretary General
U N Head Quarters
New York, N Y. 10017

Dear Secretary General,

First of all, let me thank you for taking keen interest to resolve the
political problem in Burma. I also commend Dr. U Ne Oo for painstakingly
pointing out some flaws in U N
General Assembly Resolution that will not help much in supporting
Democracy to materialize in Burma.
As a native of Burma, I am very much concerned about the welfare of my
fellow countrymen who have been suffering too much under the Burma
Military Regime for so long. At present, I feel it is emergency for the U
N to take some prompt action reguarding the destruction of villages, food
crops and rice barns in the minority areas.
The destruction is whole sale and indiscreminately, well documented by
the Human
Right Groups recently. I beleive that U N can call emergency meeting of
Security Council meeting and send strong message to the Burma Military
Regime to stop the inhumane practice against the minority people.
When racists Serb Military killed Bosnian Muslims indiscriminately, U N
intervened and it has been successful to a certain extent to maintain
peace in the area. No country blamed U N for meddling with internal
affairs of Yogoslavia. It is a Global affairs. Let me axplain why I feel
it is nacessary for U N to take prompt action.
When the Serb Military did the ethnic cleansing, they shot the innocent
Muslims indiscriminately and they died instantly. The bodies were burried
in mass graves.
In Burma especially in the minority areas at present moment, Burma Army
destroy villages, burn rice barns and destroy rice crops with the pretext
 that they are denying
food to the resistance groups. No body knows how many villagers died of
starvation while fleeing and hiding in the jungle. When Serve Military
killed innocent Muslims
villagers they killed with war machines and the victims died instantly,
but when the
Burma Army killed the innocent villagers, they killed them with war
machines as well
as deprived their victims of foods and shelters. The end result is the
same. The only different is instant death and slow death of starvation.
The destruction of food stock
and villages is continuing and in a very near future, hundreds and
thousands of innocent minority villagers will die of starvation and
disearses for lack of foods and shelters.
On the other side of the boder, Thai Army and Thai Authorities do not let
the new refugees to enter their soil and the villagers have no place to
run and no food to eat.
Dear Secretary General, This is a very grave situation for the innocent
villagers in
minority areas in Burma. Besides forced labor and forced relocation,
this is the worst method Burma Military Regime systematically applied
against the minority people.
I, therefore earnestly and respectfully request that appropriate action
be taken to stop
Burma Military Regime from doing whole sale destruction of villages and
food crops.
On the other hand, in support of Dr. U ne Oo's letter sent to you of the
7th December, I earnestly request that U N General Assembly high light
and recognize the formation
and mandate of the Committee Representing People's Parliament (CRPP) as
earliest as possible.

Yours respectfully.
