[According to investigation by PD Burma-Japan, recent AFP report of
aid to Burma
including the IHT report of UN/World Bank deal to Burma could be
fradulent media
reportings. I think the media corps from IHT should be call into
question for
accuracy of their report. Thomas Cramptom is the IHT reporter.--U Ne

On December 10th, members of People's Forum on Japan visited the
foreign
Ministry of Japan to exchange the opinion as a campaign of the
anniversary
of the Universal declaration of Human Rights.  On the meeting,
Mr.Junich
Ihara, the director of South East Asia First Division, strongly denied
the
article of AFP on December 9th.
" We have no intention of granting financial aid to Myanmar under the
scheme
of 30 billion dollars aid to ASEAN countries.  The speech of our
spokesman
was distorted by the AFP reporter. I am talking that our government
completely has no intention to grant financial aid to Myanmar. If you
believe in the article of AFP, please get out from here.  In addition,
there
have been reports that Japanese government is planning to put fund for
the
World Bank to encourage the dialogue between the SPDC and the NLD,  we
never
heard anything from the World Bank.  It is also a complete misleading"

Mr.Ihara is planning to make a clear statement regarding these rumours
in a
near future.
