1. A seminar on national solidarity, attended by the representatives of
23 anti-military dictatorship organizations, consisting of nationalities
and democratic forces, was successfully held on 12th to 14th December
1998 at Thoo Mwe Klo, Kawthoolei State.

2. The representatives of these organization, after openly and intimately
discussed and analysed the present situation in Burma, unanimously agreed
that the contradiction between the military junta on one side and the
oppressed people of all nationalities on the other, is the main
contradiction in the society of Burma and that, this contradiction is
approaching a critical epoch, thereby, causing national solidarity more
and more vulnerable for disintegration.

3. The 13 important decisions, together with the abolishment of military
dictatorship, the establishment of multi party democratic system and the
federal union, the demand for convening "Pyi Thu Hlutaw" by NLD and
nationalities representing the four political parties and to support the
formation of the committee representing "Pyi Thu Hlutaw", were agreed
upon by the seminar.

4. All the representatives firmly believe that, the abolishment of
military dictatorship and the building of future federal union can be
achieved only through consolidated national strength. As thus, the
seminar agreed to call upon all political parties and individuals,
without discrimination race, religion and political ideology, to join
hands and work together starting from the lowest possible political
step.

5. The seminar formed the coordinating and organizing committee (COC)
comprising of nine members to uphold the outcome of the seminar and
continues to strive for the endowment of national solidarity.
