Subject: QUESTION:  Myanmar's Military Creating Lies and Coverups Again

Rangoon Post - 28 December, 1998

   Again the unelected military SPDC of Burma /Myanmar is covering the
facts and accusing Aung San Suu Kyi of wrong doings.

   Witnesses of the so-called pro-governmet rallies have stated that
people are coerced into proticipating in the rallies.  One person from
each house-hold must attend or be arrested and / or beaten.   The
businessmen speakers at the rallies are recruited and forced to practice
a pre-written speech.

   The SPDC refuses to give-in to the truth of the 1990 elections where
the SLORC at the time lost drastically and the NLD, LED BY AUNG SAN SUU
KYI, won the majority of the parliamentry seats.  

   The 2 main reasons why Burma lacks a constitution are: 1) The
military after its take-over in the 1960s dissovled the constitution and
arrested the parliamentary members many of whom were Never seen again;
2) The military refuses to work at all with the NLD's leader Aung San
Suu Kyi on creating a new constitution.

   Why is the SPDC/ SLORC trying to hold on to power as a
spoiled-selfish child does when another wants to use the same item. They
cry and scream and make up lies to make any reason why the other
shouldn't have something or do something.

   Why did the world foolishly acknowledge the military after their coup
in the 1960s ??  The military is and was never elected. Why the hell
does the world acknowledge it ???
