             Burmese Foreign Minister to
             Travel to ASEAN states

             The military government in Burma has said its foreign
             minister, Win Aung, will soon pay an official visit to four
             member countries of the Association of South-East
             Asian Nations ASEAN. 

             The authorities said Wing Aung had been invited to visit
             Indonesia, Singapore Thailand and Brunei. 

             They gave no date or details of the agenda. 

             The announcement comes as a dispute continues
             between ASEAN and the European Union over Burma's
             participation in talks between the two regional groups.
