SID Annual Conference on Human Righ

Subject: SID Annual Conference on Human Rights and Human Development

Dear colleagues in development:

Greetings from the Washington Chapter of the Society for International
Development.

Below please find an announcement for the Society for International
Development?s Annual Conference on the theme of Human Rights and Human
Development: Challenges in Forging a New Partnership.

This is a topic in which the honorable Mary Robinson, UNHCR High
Commissioner for Human Rights, was quoted as saying, "is one of the
major challenges we are facing today." We hope hope you and your
colleagues will agree.

We would greatly appreciate it if you could post this on your list
serve and/or circulate to your colleagues who might be interested in
these issues.

Thank you very much. We hope to see you at the conference.

Best Regards,

Andrea Camoens
