(1)		Religious Titles Presented to Sayadaws, Nuns and Lay Persons for
				Purification, Perpetuation and Promotion of Sasana
		Religious titles were conferred on members of the Sangha, nuns and lay
persons for their brilliant services in striving towards purification,
perpetuation and promotion of Buddha Sasana and pariyatti and paripatti Sasana
on 1 March. The ceremony to present religious titles was held in Maha Pasana
Cave, the venue of the Sixth Buddhist Synod, Kaba Aye, Yangon.  Religious
titles were conferred on 220 members of the Sangha and titles on 10 nuns, 11
men and five women.
(2)		Secretary-1 Receives Chief of Mission of UNHCR
		Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt
received Chief of Mission of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in
Yangon Mr. Canh Nguyen Tang who called at  Dagon Yeiktha of the Ministry of
Defencen 
1 March.
