(1)		Myanma Traditional Medicine Paper-reading Session and Seminar for 1999 	
	Opened

		A ceremony to open the Myanma traditional medicine paper-reading 
session and seminar for 1999 was held in AyeyaShwewa Hall in Pathein Ayeyawady
Division, on 2 March. In accord with the objective of promotion and
propagating Myanmar traditional medicine, the Seminar of Myanma traditional
Medicine Practitioners was held in Mandalay in 1997, and it is found that
Myanmar traditional medicine practitioners have made efforts to make known
Myanmar traditional medicine which is almost on the wane, effective remedies
and efficacious traditional medicines. The seminars of Myanmar traditional
medicine practitioners were held in Myitkyina, Kachin State, in 1997 and in
Taunggyi, Shan State, in 1998, and traditional medicine and 
efficacious traditional medicines of Kachin, Shan and PaO  could be make
known. 

(2)		Tatmadaw Medical Seminar Continues for Third Day

		The Ninth Myanma Tatmadaw (Defence Services)  Medical Seminar continued for
the third day at the Tatmadaw Orthopaedic Hospital in Mingaladon on 2 March.
Medical scholars and professionals of the medical units submitted 16 papers to
the seminar. Twenty-seven medicine companies  opened a medicine and medical
equipment exhibition at the seminar, which will continue till 3 March.
