Daw Aung San Suu Kyi birthday prayer meeting

On June 19, 1999, the 54th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the Nobel 
Laureate and the leader of NLD, Burma, a prayer meeting is scheduled to 
be held, at the cemetery (The Rajghat) of Mahatama Gandhi, under the 
joint sponsorship of Committee for Nonviolent Action in Burma, and Asia 
People Association.

A gathering of 150 people is expected of nationalities including India, 
Burma and Tibet.  A prayer service which will include 
many faiths, including, Hindu, Buddhist, Islam and Christianity.

111 candles will be lit as symbol of good health, long life,
and success for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi in her struggle for Democracy
Peace and Justice in Burma.
