Last batch of 402 goods wagons arrives from Yugoslavia

YANGON, 1 July-Minister for Rail Transportation U Pan Aung inspected 
unloading of new goods wagons on board the Palatin at Sule wharf 5 this 
afternoon.


The vessel loaded the wagons at the Bar Port in Yugoslavia Today?s, arrival 
of 31 GBHV wagons, 27 MBHV wagons, 15 VBHV wagons and spare parts was the 
last batch of the 402 goods wagons and spare parts worth US$ 28 million 
purchased from Yugoslavia  The wagons have air pressure brake system that 
enables proper control of the freight train at a high speed.


Myanma Railways (MR) has scheduled more express freight trains with these 
goods wagons in the near future. Minister U Pan Aung was welcomed at the 
wharf by Deputy Minister Thura U Thaung Lwin and other officials.
