Wife and son of arrested NLD member detained at Muse

According to the information from China-Burma border, two people were detained
by the military intelligence unit 23 at Muse, a border town on China
border, in
the middle of June.
They are Daw Khin Ye and her son Ko Min Min.
Daw Khin Ye is the wife of U Aung Soe who is a political prisoner in Myitkyina
prison in Kachin State. U Aung Soe was sentenced for 7 years imprisonment for
helping  U Pa Pa Lay, a comedian, who made jokes against SLORC at Water
Festival held in Daw Aung San Su Kyi's compound.
It was stated that MI officers tried to find Daw Khin Ye on 16th June at Muse.
They detained her son, Ko Min Min, when they couldn't find out his mother. Daw
Khin Ye was also detained on the next day, 17th June. They released Ko Min Min
on 18 June after they got his mother. Daw Khin Ye was released on 30th June
and
sent to Mandalay.
The incident was occured after the abduction of two senior members of ABSDF
Northern Burma by military intelligence in China soil. The reason to detain
Daw
Khin Ye and Ko Min Min has not been known.
