49 members resign from Phyu Township NLD


YANGON, 13 July-Forty-nine members resigned from the National League for 
Democracy of Phyu Township, Bago Division.


Thirty-two members of Phyu Township NLD, Bago Division, of their own 
volition, resigned by sending letters of resignation to Phyu Township 
Multiparty Democracy General Election Commission and the party concerned on 
24 May 1999 and 15 members followed suit on 25 May 1999 and two members on 31 
May 1999 as they no longer wished to participate in party politics of NLD.
