Minister for Foreign Affairs leaves for 32nd 
ASEAN Ministerial Meeting



YANGON, 22 July - At the invitation of the Chairman of the 
32nd ASEAN Standing Committee and Minister for Foreign 
Affairs of Singapore Mr S Jayakumar, Minister for Foreign 
Affairs U Win Aung left here by air this morning for 
Singapore to attend the 32nd ASEAN Ministerial Meeting 
(AMM), sixth ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) and ASEAN Post 
Ministerial Conference (PMC) to be held from 23 to 28 
July in Singapore.


    Minister U Win Aung was seen off at Yangon 
International Airport by Minister for National Planning 
and Economic Development U Soe Tha, Minister for Home 
Affairs Col Tin Hlaing, Deputy Minister for Foreign 
Affairs U Khin Maung Win, Ambassadors of Laos, the 
Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, 
Thailand, Malaysia Cambodia, and officials of the 
Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


    Ambassador of Myanmar to Malaysia U Saw Tun, 
Ambassador of Myanmar to Thailand U Hla Maung, 
Ambassador of Myanmar to Singapore U Myo Myint, 
Director-General of the ASEAN Affairs Department 
U Aye Lwin, Director-General of the Political 
Department U Nyunt Maung Shein, Head of Department 
of the Office of Strategic Studies Col Thein Swe, 
Director of the ASEAN Affairs Department Daw Than 
Than Htay, Counsellor of Myanmar Embassy in Singapore 
U Myint Soe and Assistant Director of Ministry of 
Foreign Affairs U Aung Htoo will attend the meetings.
