SINGAPORE, July 26 
 Myanmar agrees to accept U.N. mission in Sept.

Myanmar has agreed to allow an emissary of U.N. Secretary
General Kofi Annan to visit the country in September, Australian
Foreign Minister Alexander Downer said Monday.
     Downer told reporters that Myanmar Foreign Minister Win Aung 
announced the decision in Singapore at an annual meeting earlier in 
the day of foreign ministers from 21 Asia-Pacific countries and the 
European Union.
