Tony Benn MP. The veteran campaigner, and focal point
of campaigns covering 4 decades of union and street
protests. One of the nations primary movers in regard
to both British and foreign policies. Will soon be leaving
the House of Commons.

Now in his latter years if political life. Tomorrow Tony Benn
will begin a totally new phase in his political career. Benn
has always had vast access to the public ear, the British
Cabinet and the national media. And tomorrow he speaks.
For he now has enough time and freedom from party lines
to express himself in full.

And he has a keen interest in the practices of the Burmese
military, Aung San Suu Kyi, Rangoon nationalism and racism,.
human rights abuse and the imprisonment of Rachel Goldwyn.
And the exclusion of the worlds humber one state drug dealer
from the Syd 2000 Olympiad.

Tony Benn MP also has a keen interest in Burmese
tourism . And in which he believes, Tony is a very hard
worker indeed.

Not only in the UK but also on the continent. It seems that
there is a new and movement springing up. One that can be
taken up by any individual with the price of a plane ticket to
ride.

>From this time forth. Does one really want to go to see the
temples and take an ex Brit boat down the Irrawaddy? yes
yes yes?

The bad news for companies dealing in "junta tourism"
is that in the public eye, Burma is about to fall far short
of the acceptable

And when 17,0000 journalists notice that the junta flag
is not flying at Sydney? The sports loving public gets
an "el rapido" education.. Big time.

Now, to visit Burma is cool, even politically acceptable.
But only as long as one gets arrested.

Rough sports?

"A week ago, Burmese Hong Kong-based golf professional
Kyi Hla Han finished second at the Taiwan Open.

He pocketed US$33,000, a purse which boosted him to
the top of the Asian PGA Order of Merit rankings"

In view of Rachel's imprisonment. One would suggest that if
Kyu Hla Han wins the order of merit this year. He does not
take up his automatic invitation to next years Open
Championship? .
