Urge U.S to support Free Burma

Urge U.S. to support free Burma

The following resolutions were adopted at the Freedom for Burma seminar held
in Fort Wayne on Sept. 5. We hope Americans will support the resolutions and
ask their leaders to act on them.

1) Call upon all peoples of the world to act through their governments to
form an international tribunal to try Burma's military rulers for their
crimes against humanity.

2) Call upon all member nations of the United Nations to unseat the illegal
government from the Burma seat.

3) Call upon the U.S. government to downgrade the representation in the
Burma embassy in Washington, D.C., and to not accept the ambassador from
Burma until and unless she or he represents a democratic government in that
country.

4) Call upon all international organizations to follow the lead of the
International Labor Organization by excluding any representative of the
illegal regime in Burma from participation, observation and sharing of
information and activities of their organizations.

5) Urge parliamentarians, parliaments, congresses and all other pertinent
bodies the world over to recognize the Committee Representing the People's
Parliament.

6) Appeal to the international community to back the National League for
Democracy's demand for an immediate dialogue with the present military
government.
