Myanmar trade delegation calls on PM


The visiting Myanmar delegation for bilateral trade led by Minister of
Commerce Major-General Kyaw Than called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at
her office yesterday, reports BSS. 
The Prime Minister told the delegation that Bangladesh and Myanmar enjoy
very cordial relations. "Our bilateral relations particularly in the field
of trade and investment should further be expanded, she added. 
Kyaw Than lauded the leadership of the Prime Minister and warmly felicitated
her for signing the Ganges Water Sharing Treaty with India and peace accord
on Chittagong Hill Tracts. 
The Myanmar minister also stressed further expansion of trade relations
between the two friendly countries. 
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Abul Hasan Chowdhury and commerce
secretary Alamgir Faroque were present on the occasion.
