wisdom from susu (r)

I was back in Burma in 1995-1996 for the very first time since I left Burma
a long long time ago. It was quite depressing. I am not sure if I will
agree that most people doing business with Burma were quite "honorable"
group of people. They tend to have different motives with greed and were
there for just one reason - to make profit out of Burma at any cost.

Don't bother mentioning Mr. Soro - he is still struggling with his bet on
Euro currency. It is also known that the Open Institute is behind this
BurmaNet which I am really grateful for.

Also if you have to get into small little debates with every single points
people make on the BurmaNet - you will go crazy. Especially with those who
posts to the BurmaNet often with some outrageous claims like OKKAR,
DawnStar, Galon99 and Htut Aung Kyaw. You can usually tell where they stand
and "where" they came from and they are not into listening others. It is
quite useless getting into a meaningful debate with them. It is like
talking to a wall. They just like to yell out "foul" for almost everything
and if you do not agree with you, they will put you down by labeling you, 1.
a member of SPDC family, 2. MI or spy, 3. Homosexual, 4. Bisexual or
threatening you with some violence.

(You will recall that Julian Moe - NY of a Chinese descent having ties with
Taiwan was labeled "Homosexual" or "Bisexual" on BurmaNet awhile back just
because he saw things differently than they did.)

So to make it short, I am learning to pick my own battle and ignore those
who are worthless to debate intelligently. Some just do not take
constructive criticism very well because they are "always" right!. =-]

>what are dreaming in the night? Businesspeople and conscience? That's
>very rare. Money let people forget any conscience.

hello heiko!

ok but i think that is maybe just cliche? most businesspeople very
honorable, smart, have idea, practical. they are good to organize
capital/people/expertise, make things happen! some are crook, but most most
most are ok. like george soros! why insult? instead, WE NEED THEM!

must think strategically heiko! find good smart businespeople, educate them
about burma, get to help! listen: many new multimillionaire in US, other
places. we should talk to them, get support! not insult them, they are
smart! we show them, "you are businessman, we respect you, we show you how
to use resources to help free burma."

also, surprise. maybe we can learn from them! oh no do not hit susu for
saying this terrible thing! it is true!

ALSO. political freedom is first. but also economic freedom is important,
right? opportunity is good! a big economy is good, more choice of way to
live! different jobs! no need to be farmer only, or soldier only!

so - burma will need businesspeople for real freedom. and also i think to
ACHIEVE real freedom. OH PLEASE DO NOT HIT SUSU! she is only telling
sensible truth! we must get them in movement to help!

mao zedong say: "to get rich is glorious"

ok go argue with mao, not with susu.

love from, susu the supergirl (oh good name susu!)
