Burma Out! STATEMENT ON COLUMBI

Subject: Burma Out! STATEMENT ON COLUMBIA

                   ------------------------------------

            An alternative to USArmed invasion?

There are other ways to take action against the major
hard drug produucers, such as our own sanction work against
the Burmese junta.

If such as the Terry Parham, of the DEA, General Barry
McCaffrey and the White House would only listen to us and
educate "the people". Then this would lead to faster and more
effective methods installed at the UN, which should oversee
the conduct of such organisations as the International Olympic
Committee and FIFA, and support sanctions similarly to the sports
/ cultural sanctions upon S Africa during the latter stages of apartheid.

As an alternative to the aggressive methods being promoted
by the Pentagon and military of the USA for the sovereign nation of
Columbia. Which will inevitably lead to large scale bloodshed and the
displacement of the innocent and helpless..

And, in regard to your posting

PROTEST AND RALLY

MONDAY, OCTOBER 18, 1999 4-6PM

IN FRONT OF CONSULATE OF COLOMBIA

Salvador, East Timor Action Network, GABRIELA Network, L.A., Human,

Executive Director, National Lawyers Guild/LA""

Whereas one notices that our comrades in the Burma Forum are mentioned. The
BO campaign uses a direct and internationally based
mandate against drug producers and human rights abuse. And so,
on behalf of all the members of the Burma Out! team, its sponsors,
and the general public. I am requesting that the Burma Out! campaign
is added to the sponsors of your own campaign.

By doing so, you can also offer people an alternative method of direct
action against those who profit from the manufacture and distribution
of all hard drugs.

Whereas, your office, and your broad mandated NGO sponsors
have set the questions. We can provide some of the answers,
whereupon people from all nations can act at all levels against both
the producers and those who falsify for their own reasons, a genuine
war upon the combination of hard drug production and rights abuse

Details of which are available upon request.

Thank you

Roger Bunn
