South Africa and sports sanctions
We formally request that FBC SA opens formal and
in depth negotiations with BO, as to the imposition of
sports sanctions on Burma. .
Thank you for your co-operation. As it was first excluded
at Tokyo in 64 and onwards, S Africa has a unique part to
play in this campaign. And it would be shameful that, after
the international community brought humanitarian sports
sanctions to bear for the benefit of all S Africans, that they
themselves would not support a similar call, that benefits the
disenfranchised people of Burma
A report of the this request / message may be passed to
the BO team and NGO's that support the exclusion of Burma
from Syd 2000
As we also offer you an "ease of lobby" of your government.
We look forward to your reply.
